Re:store   [Secondhand goods]

re:store is a social economy project of East Belfast Mission. The project has gone from strength to strength with 9 charity shops in total now trading in Belfast - North Street, Ann Street, Connswater, Royal Avenue plus 2 on the Newtownards Road - Antrim, Larne and Newtownards. Please ring our main warehouse on 90731879 for details of your nearest shop. The Vintage shop at 78-80 Royal Avenue Belfast (90237268) is selling a wide range of vintage clothing, shoes, jewellery and small furniture items. Vintage opened in May 2009 and has been a great success. We have just opened our first ever bridal department within our Vintage shop. Found on the first floor of Vintage, you will see an array of brand new dresses donated by bridal retailers. Not only have we a great stock of wedding dresses, we also stock bridesmaid dresses, mother of bride/groom outfits and lots of accessories plus some menswear and kids flower girl outfits. It is really worth a visit!!! Give Claire a ring for more information - 90237268. re:store sells good quality second hand furniture, clothes, electrical items, books and bric-a-brac and we also sell reconditioned white goods on a commission basis in partnership with Bryson Charitable Trust. Exciting new projects also include a furniture refurbishment project due to start @ June/July 2010. We have already secured premises to refurbish furniture and restore some of the natural fibres prior to selling in our shops. We have also received funding and are working with Safe Food and Healthy Food for All in a project aimed at educating the people in our hostel and indeed our community, how to eat healthily on a low income budget. Alongside the educational perspective, we send out meals 2 nights per week and will do this over the agreed period of the project which is 3 years. EBM regeneration project "Skainos" has already began on the site at Newtownards Road. Over the next 3 years we will see the old buildings disappear and a brand new rebuild will surface. The re:store warehouse and the newly branded re:frresh cafe have now been relocated. The move took place at the beginning of June. Both projects share the old Skyline building found at 213-223 Newtownards Road. re:fresh is open Mon - Sat 9 - 5pm with exciting new menus and outside catering rates available - call today!! As always - exciting times at EBM and re:store....
